Researcher, Writer, Creator
I'm a public sociologist who puts my skills to work for social good, translating data into insights that have positive on-the-ground impact. Currently a Ph.D. candidate at Georgia Tech and the Research Director at youthSpark, I specialize in single and multiagency research, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and strategic consulting for nonprofits.
My research has been funded by the American Council of Learned Societies and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. It has also been featured in Vice's Broadly, Stuff Mom Never Told You, Kotaku, as well as academic outlets such as Theoretical Criminology, Criminal Justice Studies, and University of Minnesota Press.
I'm committed to making scholarship public and accessible. I create sociological 'zines, and revive forgotten objects, like the Victorian-era board game Suffragetto.
